We have worked closely with two people from PaymentEvolution (Ale and Hema) since the time of implementation. When we need help - especially with time-sensitive matters - they squeeze us into whatever open slots they have on their calendars and patientlly work with us, which is always greatly appreciated and often critical to our business' success. We have worked with them for close to 2 years by now, and we're very happy with our transition from ADP to PaymentEvolution.

I was a customer of Payment evolution for both of my business for 10+ years but recent price increases and customer support experience made me head other way. The rates went up from $260 a year to $2000+ a year for the same services and the customer support in this case Naraiyah was not helpful at all and after I expressed my concerns basically told me to f off and find another system. Not a treatment I would expect after being a customer of payment evolution for that many years.

Absolute disappointment. Sure they will be excited with you during the first call and emphasize their SUPPORT as their "value" piece - but what support? Communication was poor, great at scheduling automated follow up emails but won't actually respond to your inquiries until days later. When it came to onboarding, the specialist cancelled last minute, and the Sales Rep did not even have the courtesy to reply back immediately to apologize and mention that he would find another Specialist. Due to this, we informed the Sales Rep that we wanted to cancel due to these troubles (which gave us the red flags that there would be issues down the road if we continued with them). He informed that he's issued a ticket for a refund, and that we would be receiving the credit within two weeks (this was on July 9th). We responded back to him immediately after requesting for a confirmation that our account has been cancelled, and that we wanted to ensure we don't get billed moving forward. Instead of receiving a confirmation, instead of a refund, we get another bill.

My suggestion - look elsewhere, set up a consultation call with other providers and make sure to ask about how they off-board if you decide to part ways. Stay away from this company.

Good - Local Canadian company, good customer service.
Bad - User interface and flexibility needs major makeover, Pricing scheme is confusing and monthly payment plan was increased without notice, Upon cancelling no remedy is provided to login into system to obtain past records. Multiple fees are taken directly from bank account and included in payroll remittances, making it difficult to reconcile .

Small businesses under 10 employees, check other providers and thoroughly and ask alot of questions about flexibility and your user needs

Even though a trial period was offered for 14 days, I thought i could get used to the service but never did. I switched to quickbooks, which is way faster, less screens to process and more flexibililty.

Obviously they cannot compete with Quickbooks due to the size and scale of the company.

Note to management - provide a better UX, allow customers to access data after cancelling, allow credit card charges for monthly fees and be more transparent about plans and pricing customers are signed up for.

We have been using Payment Evolution's services for many years. Over time, we became accustomed to their extremely sluggish software and mediocre customer service. However, a recent experience has led us to lose trust in this company entirely.

Payment Evolution introduced a feature called the Offboarding Assistant, which they set as the default choice and actively recommend. Unfortunately, they do not disclose upfront that using this feature incurs a $250 plus tax charge for each transaction. The software design makes it easy to overlook this cost.

Before the Offboarding Assistant was released, our offboarding process was smooth over the years and without issues. I still do not understand what this new feature offers that justifies a $250 investment. The fact that they attempt to conceal the charges associated with this feature suggests it is more of a scam than a meaningful service.

This software attached to our accounting system works well and it streamlined perfectly. The support team is quick at response and clarifies any issues or questions. Thank you Christine!
