I decided a bootcamp would be the most efficient way for me to learn. I did my best to research and compare among the bootcamps in Tokyo, and Le Wagon just seemed the most reasonable.

From start to end, I felt I got more than what I paid for. I got an overwhelming amount of resources, relevant challenges per lecture, and life-long access to alumni all over the world.

This is an ideal and worth-it web development boot camp for driven entrepreneurs(or aspiring) or even beginners in coding like me! I studied part-time for 6-7 months but it felt so well packed (in a good way!). You can learn not only to code in front-end, back-end, but also to understand logics, product delivery, and design. I can have hands-on experience and insights to tech project management, user journeys, and to working with a tech team too. My biggest value would include 1) working with my project teammates and meeting wonderful people who I can possibly work with on social tech projects in the future especially since I can access the Tokyo and Global Tech network, 2) the confidence that I can build something now that I have a tech understanding, 3) and the product management introduction through the projects!

Honestly, it is a psychologically safe and creative space or community and is super friendly to beginners for as long as --- 1) you are extremely motivated to learn and 2) are intellectually humble to ask ( Ask a lot! They are super welcoming and supportive, seriously).

The walk/run by the Meguro river is a plus. haha. I loved spending a few seconds looking for ducks and seeing the trees when I was rushing from work to Le Wagon campus. (Before I immersed myself coding in PC)

Just graduated full-time web development course. I was going self-taught route and was very skeptical of bootcamps from what I read online. but after a trusted friend suggested them to me, I had a few calls with le wagon staff, attended the open house, and also contacted alumni via linkedin personally before making a decision.
Because of the alumni giving great responses, I decided to join the course.

Le Wagon exceeded my expectations. The staff are both great engineers and teachers. You will absolutely learn everything you need to develop the frontend and backend of web applications and a strong understanding of how everything works underneath the tools.

Before the course starts, they also have a lot of onboarding material to get up to speed. I recommend strongly to work through all of that material and also keeping up with the extra lectures and pushing yourself to do optional challenges.

The students who really devote themselves can utilize real expertise from those actively working in the industry and fast track a lot of the pain that comes through self-taught. You also get opportunities to build group projects with proper methodologies.

It is a very fast-paced course, and you need to dedicate a lot of time outside of class to get the most out of it.

The real value of a boot camp is having access to such great instructors, group work that replicates a real-world environment, and the network they have. Le Wagon Tokyo hits every mark, and I am really happy with my investment.

I was very happy and impressed with my time at Le Wagon. The course is structed incredibly well, starting with core programming basics and ending with combining everything you learnt throughout the course with the Rails framework, as well as building a few different projects. Of course, a bootcamp can't teach you everything as they only have a limited time with you, so some parts felt a little rushed. I don't think this is Le Wagon's fault though, and I was pretty impressed with how they managed to cram all that they did into the course. What I really loved is that they taught you a lot of best coding practices and principles, as well as giving lots of advice along the way.

The teachers are very knowledgeable and were always so happy to go above and beyond. I asked many questions, even more advanced topics early on, and my questions were always followed up, even if it meant a TA sending me a message later with links and extra information.
I came into the bootcamp with prior coding experience with C# and building video games as a hobby, so my main concern before it started was whether it would be challenging enough for me. I was definitely wrong, even in the beginning weeks they had optional challenges that really put my skills to the test.

I also loved the vibe and culture within the school. Every Saturday they bought drinks for everyone and we did live coding together. That, along with the buddy system, it really encouraged everyone to help each other and foster great friendship. The school really pushed us to be ambitious, especially with the final project and there was a lot of help and encouragement along the way.

If you're on the fence, I highly recommend pulling the trigger and giving it a go. Especially if you are eligible for the HelloWork subsidiary as you can get a substantial amount of money back after. Lastly, on the topic of finances. I was really impressed with how flexible they were. They were happy for me to pay in installments, and were really relaxed about it. I paid the whole amount on the final month (minus the deposit of course), which really helped me manage the cost.

Great atmosphere and high quality bootcamp! I first heard about Le Wagon Tokyo 5 years ago, but was always hesitant to enrol. But I did the full time web development bootcamp this year and I wish I had done it earlier! The instructors were great, and the hands on daily challenges really accelerated my learning. I’d highly recommend it anyone who wants to get their foot into the tech industry!
